According to REACH SVHC, 2009/425/EC and 2009/251/EC, there are 13 additional chemical substances had been added. Below as the summary of updates.
- Criteria 1 has been modified and the limitation to 24 months has been removed.
- Regulatory updates triggered the revision of JIG-101 declarable substance list, Cobalt dichloride, dibutyltin/dioctyltin compounds, trisubstituted organostannic compounds and dimethyl fumarate have been added. The separate entry of Decabromodiphenylether (DecaBDE) for TV/monitor housing has been removed based on legislative changes. DecaDBE is now covered under the generic PBDE entry.
- Annex F – REACH Screening methodology has been refined.
- The modified screening has been applied to the candidate list (with entries from Oct. 28, 2008 & Jan. 13, 2010), the Registry of Intentions (considering those entries until November 2009) and to those substances from previous consultations that have not been transferred to the candidate list. In total 7 additional substances have been identified to be relevant for the EE industry and added to Annex A.
- Clarification added, that for substances with threshold levels referring to materials or specific applications more detailed reporting is required.
